UPDATE! December 13, 2001

This is no longer JUST a 300ZX site!

Turbo 300ZX
A slight change of plans (heh heh heh :^)  I have decided to abandon restoration plans for this particular 300ZX.  I had to face the harsh reality that the cost vs return on investment was too great.  Although it runs great and is astoundingly fast, this poor baby has too many hidden structural problems and would not be practical to restore to my expectations.  Instead I will cut my losses and patiently look for a later model with a mint body with perhaps a blown or bad engine and do a power build.

Turbo 280ZX
In the mean time I will focus my energies on my nearly mint 1983 Turbo 280ZX.  This was a Florida car and doesn't have a spec of rust on it.  Unfortunately is has a major design flaw.  It has an automatic :^(  So over the Winter, and time permitting, I will be installing a Borg Warner T-5.  In addition I plan to rebuild a spare L28 engine (from my 280ZX parts car) with the NISMO 3mm "Big Bore Kit", Bigger intake valves, intercooler and lots of other fun stuff.

(Soon to be turbo) 240Z
I will also be adding pictures and information on the progress of my Nephew's White 1973 240Z (see pic below).  the body is in great condition.  he's planning on replacing the stock engine with a turbo '83 L28 with much of the same mods I will be doing on mine.

This Site
This site is long over due for a make-over and lots of updating.  Please be patient.  I have been working on a new look and format and will be posting it soon after the first of the year.  As work progresses on the 280ZX and 240Z, photos and detailed repair and modification procedures will be added much like the existing 300ZX "Common Problems" page above.  Rehgardless of if you have a 240, 260 or 280Z visit the "Common Problems" pages as many repair procedures apply to all models such as leaky side windows, intermittent tail lights, air conditioning problems, etc.   Enjoy!          Regards,   Frank

My Nephew's awesome 240Zs...
